Hi,
I'm Abolfazl Babanazari, a first-year PhD student at the Colorado School of Mines. I hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT), where my favorite courses were Linear Algebra, Graph Theory, Optimization, and Algorithms.
I have experience working on several medical imaging systems as a Junior Computer Vision Engineer, and I am now focusing on Robotic Perception.
PCLIPPER+: A Robust Point Cloud Registration Algorithm in Structured Environments
In this work, we improved point cloud registration by removing repetitive patterns. We split the point cloud into planes and points, then use a graph-based method to find the best transformation. Our results showed a better balance of speed and accuracy compared to SOTA.
